What is included in the cost of my registration?
Your conference registration includes full and open access to all conference educational sessions (excluding pre-conference workshops) and any free social events. Conference attendees are responsible for all related expenses such as air travel, ground transportation and lodging.
Do I have to pre-register for the sessions I want to attend?
No, pre-registration for conference sessions (excluding pre-conference workshops) is not required. All concurrent sessions are open and conference attendees can attend sessions as room capacities allow. Meeting rooms occasionally fill up, so be sure to get to your first choice sessions a few minutes early!
Where will the meeting sessions be held?
The entire conference and all educational sessions will take place at the conference hotel.
How do I get my CE credits?
AASECT will be tracking all CE credits electronically during the 2019 Annual Conference. Attendance at educational sessions will be recorded through a name-badge-scanning system at the entrance to each education session. Each attendee will have a personalized barcode on their nametag that will be scanned entering and exiting all educational session which will track your attendance.
CE certificates will be distributed via email upon completing the online evaluations after the conference concludes.
What’s the best way to connect with people at the conference?
Students, new AASECT Members and first time conference attendees are invited to a short orientation preceding the opening plenary session. Select board and committee members will host you and provide information about the conference. Our social events and exhibit hall also provide great ways to meet people and connect with peers in the industry. Our mobile app also provides the option to message other attendees. AASECT is a friendly group, so if you see an AASECT nametag, introduce yourself!
How do I download the conference mobile app?
Conference attendees may access the AASECT 2019 Annual Conference mobile app by following these three easy steps:
- Go to your App Store (Google or Apple)
- Search for the Eventmobi app (our app provider) and download
- Open the Eventmobi app and search for AASECT2019
The event app includes features such as access to the event agenda, speaker information, interactive personalized agenda, meeting maps, alerts, updates, and more! You can also use the app to connect with other attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and sponsors.
How do I find my way around on-site?
All registrants have access to download the conference mobile app available in any app store by searching for AASECT2019. We encourage everyone to download the mobile app to get the latest alerts and connect with participants on site. Additionally, you have the option to add a printed program to your conference registration ($5) which will include a schedule of events, room names, times and more!
What is the registration cancellation policy?
All cancellation requests must be sent to conference@aasect.org. No refunds will be given for cancellations after May 1, 2019. All requests for refunds made prior to this deadline date will be honored, less a $100 administrative fee.
