Disrupting Ageism while Building Sexual Resilience: New Directions for Educators, Counselors, and Therapists
Dr. Frey completed her undergraduate degree at Colorado State University and then attended CU Medical school, earning her MD degree. She did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology through the University of Colorado program in Denver. Over the years her practice evolved from full spectrum traditional OB/GYN, including deliveries and surgeries, to office-only gynecology and women’s primary care. She has had a lifelong interest in integrative medicine, promoting wellness and prevention as well as nutrition and complementary therapies. Her special areas of expertise in gynecology include menopause and hormone therapy, transgender hormone prescribing, sexual pain, and sexual and reproductive health. She is now retired from clinical practice and has transitioned to writing, speaking and serving as a resource in the field of sexual and reproductive health. Dr. Frey has provided educational presentations for physicians, sex therapists, educators and counselors, and physical therapists. She has also appeared as a guest on numerous podcasts dealing with sexuality and reproductive health. Dr. Frey and her husband currently split their time between Colorado and Italy. They have five grown sons and a granddaughter, and they love to bike, ski, hike and travel.
